They did not offer any way to make up for their shortcomings and negatively impacting my business.
I placed my order for essential items, including business cards, on April 24th, with an expected delivery date of May 1st.
This date passed without any communication from BuildASign no call, no email, and no package.
After several unacknowledged inquiries, I finally managed to speak with a customer service agent on May 5th.
During this call, I was informed of a 'known problem' that both BuildASign and my brokerage were supposedly 'well aware of.' Shockingly, despite this known issue, there was no proactive communication, and the agent could not provide a new estimated delivery date, vaguely suggesting 'maybe next week.' Crucially, no attempt was made at customer recovery; suggestions like expediting the business cards separately while other items were resolved, or offering a discount for the significant inconvenience, were met with indifference, essentially an 'oh well' attitude. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable.
I finally received my order on May 16th, a full 15 days after the initial expected delivery and 22 days after placing the order. This significant delay meant I was without crucial business cards for several important social and networking events, leading to missed opportunities and lost potential clientele.
To compound the frustration, the business cards themselves are of poor quality, noticeably cut off-center, rendering them unprofessional and unusable.
My experience with BuildASign has been characterized by a lack of communication, an inability to meet stated timelines, unhelpful customer service that offered no solutions or attempts at recovery, and ultimately, a substandard product.
I strongly advise other professionals, especially those reliant on timely and quality materials, to avoid this company.
Save yourself the headache, potential business disruption, and order from a more reliable supplier. I will not be using their services again.

We ordered 100 custom license plates from Mike Murphy, the senior strategic account manager. Everything started out fine.
Once we got the 100 plates in, 51 of them turned out chipped. They were stacked together when they were shipped, which we thought caused the chipping. We asked Mike for a refund for the 51, and he said he would redo them. We recommended they be packaged differently, and he said they couldn't change their process because they're such a large company.
He redid 51 of them, and 31 of those were still chipped. We asked again for a refund, and he wouldn't do it. He said it was up to him to determine if they were usable or not; yet, he didn't see them in person. He only refunded us for 15 of them.
Do not buy from this company.
You'll get poor service and an even worse product. Spend the extra money on a quality product.

What a terrible product and terrible customer service! The first PVC sign I was sent did not even last through the shipping phase and turned up with an entire corner snapped off.
I had ordered a 36 x 24 PVC commercial sign. They sent out a replacement which lasted only 3 days. There was a small rainstorm and the sign could not withstand that. The entire sign snapped in half.
AFTER 3 DAYS! I reached out and asked if they could make me a sign on material that would last beyond 3 days and they said they were unable to provide that quality. I asked for a refund and they only offered a partial refund. This debacle went on for about 6 weeks.
My business needs a sign out front and I have lost customers due to patiently waiting for BuildASign to resolve the situation. They failed to do so.
Seriously, do not waste your time and money - they deliver a poorly made product that does not represent their guarantees on their website and trying to get your monies back is impossible. I hope my experience will save other consumers from the same headaches I had to deal with.

Bad color
I wanted a viet nam ribbon and 82nd airborne decal on a license plate , the plate was perfect but the red color on the ribbon and decal where pink not red. I was told that could not be fixed, so much for a guarantee satisfaction. bummer

Their non-800 number phone is disconnected. That should tell you everything you need to know.
If that doesn't stop you from using them, you need to know that any calls with post-payment problems go to some other country where their only job is to get you to hang up.
They cannot and will not help. If you ask to be connected directly to the US location in Texas, they lie to you and tell you they cannot transfer the call. If you contact them by email because your order is short, they will offer to sell you what they shorted you !!! No kidding !!!
Seems good on the surface, becomes a nightmare, after the sale. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!
Once they think they have completed your order, good luck if it isn't really complete.

On their own web site, they have lots of fake, five star reviews that they obviously wrote themselves, or perhaps cherry picked from real reviews, elsewhere. Note that you cannot put your own review, on their web site !!!STAYASTA

I placed an order on 4/22 and got no confirmation. I emailed on 4/22 and got a reply saying that I would receive my order by 5/1.
Still nothing on 5/8. With difficulty I got in touch with someone at the company that confirmed that could not fill my order because of no product. This whole while I got ZERO communication from them. Only a refund after waiting 3 weeks for something to arrive.
What a waste of my time!
They #1 should not take an order that they cannot fill and #2 not charge customers until items ship and #3 at least let customers know of the problems/delays and offer choice to wait or get a refund. They have lost my business for good and I will let others know about their lousy service...

Magnetic sign NOT removeable
I purchased several signs for a political campaign. I gave one of the 18x24 signs to my landscaper who agreed to place them on his truck door during the campaign.
When he tried to remove the sign he found it was impossible to remove as it was "stuck" to the metal door. Any attempt to remove it cause it to break and pull the paint from the door. The company acknowledge the problem and agreed to refund $25. NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Not sure how to handle this...as Build a Sign's magnetic sign ruined my gardener's truck door.
My options are to contact an attorney and sue the company.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Be aware of the possibility of ruining your vehicle paint when purchasing magnetic signs from Build-A-Sign

My first experience with Buldasign. I have been waiting on hold to place a very large sign order, but they must not be able to handle the volume of business they currently have.
Design was ready to go.... for whatever reason I kept being placed on hold. Not sure if I will continue to wait or start all over with a company that can accommodate my order....frustrating. What must a customer do to get attention to have this company move to "production"?
I just don't understand. Nothing else to report but this site requires a 100 word minimum, so I guess I'll just fill the space as I have reported the details and don't know what else to do other tgan, just select another vendor

Terrible..i ordered a license plate to be delivered by 12/22 using usps. They sent Shipped status on 12/19.
Tracking # given is invalid. When it wasnt delivered I called and was told by Jeneva that it should have been delivered by now and it would be redone and shipped Fedex by 12/26. No tracking info so I called 12/27 and was told they decided not to reship. No product but they took the $$$.

NEVER AGAIN..I ordered a sign on August 29, 2017..on 9/6/17 they notified me that the sign had shipped via FEDEX..as of today 9/15/17 STILL NO SIGN..and FEDEX states that BUILD A SIGN HAS NOT SHIPPED THE SIGN AT ALL REGARDLESS OF THE DECEITFUL INFORMATION THEY PROVIDED CONCERNING SHIPPING...NOW I HAVE LOST 2 WEEKS ON ADVERTISING A HOME I AM SELLING..I HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN WITH ANOTHER SIGN COMPANY! I wish I had read the horrible reviews on BUILDASIGN
Incompetence at its finest
My name is Cindy Kelly, I orderdere a 4x12 banner. I purchased extra Grommets and of course wind slits.
This company made me jump through hoops to prove it had come in with only two grommets per side and without wind slits. They finally sent me a replacement banner that again came with only two grommets and no wind slits. I decided to allow them to get it right a 3 rd time. It's not a charm.not only did it arrive missing the grommets And the wind slits but this last one came in with damage across the front of the banner.
I don't know how this company is staying in business. The employees on the phone are incredibly rude and dismissive.

BuildASign - WASTE of time!! To sum it up, I ordered 50 signs online.
The art department needed better images they said. Which I emailed in right away. I than waited for a proof, and waited, and waited. I received little to No response to my requests for a proof, till 3 weeks later when I finally canceled the order.
Then you get the emails and calls from rude reps wanting to know what you wanted, you canceled your order, but we are here to help.
All I wanted was to order a few SIGNS!! Here's your sign - shop elsewhere!!
Buildasign.com may be an online scam
I placed an order with buildasign.com in July and as of September, never received my sign.
Buildasign.com claims to provide signs by having you select from an online selection and customize the content of the sign if you choose. You get all excited about using this nifty service and are excited to pony up your money when you are done. I think they count on that. Don't get caught up in the cool site -- instead beware -- better yet, go elsewhere.
The website says most orders are shipped in 3 days but some may take as long as 7-10 days. Two contacts with the company resulted in promises of delivery dates that have come and gone. You'll be told of "production issues" when you call. Meanwhile, they have your money. I think this is some kind of a scam.
